How has cloud computing changed the way companies handle data storage?
Not long ago, I helped a friend sort out storage for his small company, and I noticed how much their work had moved away from local computers. They kept project files, backups, reports, and even customer-related documents in cloud systems. I was reading Softjourn's cloud research while thinking about it, and it made me wonder how much this shift has changed everyday business routines. Cloud storage seems convenient, but it also brings questions about access, security, and long-term costs. How has cloud computing changed the way companies handle data storage?

I’ve seen this happen in a company I worked with too. Before moving more data to the cloud, everything depended on one internal server, and people were always asking someone from IT to recover files or give access. After the switch, collaboration became much smoother because teams could work from different locations and still use the same files. But it wasn’t perfect right away. They had to set clear permissions, create backup rules, and teach people not to store everything randomly. So I’d say cloud computing made storage more flexible, but it also forced companies to become more organized.
