So, I’ve been reading up on moving from the West Coast to the East Coast, and honestly, it feels like a huge step. I even came across some info here — moving from California to New York cross country CA to NY but I’m still unsure what to expect in reality. A friend of mine did a similar move last year and said the timing was the hardest part because delivery took longer than expected. I’m wondering, how do you actually plan for something like that without stressing the whole time? Any real-life tips would help a lot.

That’s a big move, for sure. I did something similar a couple of years ago, and yeah, timing can be tricky. In my case, I packed a small suitcase with essentials because my stuff arrived a few days later than planned. But overall, it wasn’t as stressful as I expected. The key for me was staying flexible and double-checking all the details with the movers before the pickup date. Also, keeping important documents and valuables with you instead of in the truck is something I’d strongly recommend from personal experience.
