Course Content
The module begins with Carbon Footprinting and Measurement, covering introduction to carbon footprinting, stationary and mobile combustion emissions, Global Warming Potential (GWP) values, CO₂ baseline data for the Indian power sector, and concepts of net zero emissions and Scope 3 emissions (ONGC case). It also introduces net zero and carbon markets fundamentals.
This section focuses on Carbon Regulations and Pricing, explaining how governments and global systems regulate emissions through policies, pricing mechanisms, and compliance frameworks that support emission reduction goals
It further covers Carbon Offsetting, Carbon Trading, and Compliance, where learners understand how carbon credits are used to offset emissions. It includes practical learning through trading simulations, a Greenpeace case study, and hands-on market-based exercises to understand real-world climate action
The module concludes with CCMP-related pending recorded sessions and final feedback sessions/forms, helping evaluate overall understanding and effectiveness of the course.
