The International Institute of Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility (IICSR), in collaboration with the National Association for the Blind, Karnataka, is organising the IICSR–NAB CSO Roundtable on Friday, 7 August 2026, from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM IST at the National Association for the Blind, Jeevan Bhima Nagar, Bengaluru.
Organised under the IICSR Sustainability Dialogues, the roundtable will bring together Chief Sustainability Officers, business leaders, climate-tech innovators, institutional representatives, social-sector organisations, investors and members of the IICSR community for a focused discussion on practical climate action and collaborative sustainability solutions.
Moving Sustainability from Dialogue to Implementation
Businesses today are facing increasing pressure to reduce emissions, improve resource efficiency, strengthen climate resilience and demonstrate measurable sustainability performance.
At the same time, several climate-tech enterprises are developing innovative solutions across renewable energy, waste management, water conservation, carbon accounting, sustainable mobility, circular economy, artificial intelligence and environmental monitoring.
However, a gap often remains between those developing solutions and the organisations that need to implement them.
The IICSR–NAB CSO Roundtable aims to bridge this gap by creating a platform where industries can present their sustainability challenges, innovators can showcase relevant solutions and institutions can support partnerships, pilots and implementation opportunities.
Key Discussions
The roundtable will focus on three central themes:
Green Business Corridor
The proposed Green Business Corridor seeks to create stronger connections between businesses, climate-tech companies, investors, implementation partners and government institutions.
The initiative is envisioned as a platform that can help climate-focused enterprises gain market access, identify pilot opportunities, build partnerships and expand their solutions across regions.
It will also enable businesses to discover innovations that can support their Net Zero, ESG and climate-resilience goals.
Climate-Tech Innovations
Participants will explore emerging climate technologies and their potential applications across industries.
The discussion will include innovations that can support organisations in areas such as:
Carbon emissions measurement and reduction
Renewable energy integration
Energy and resource efficiency
Waste reduction and circular economy
Water conservation and reuse
Climate-risk monitoring
Sustainable supply chains
Low-carbon infrastructure
Nature-based solutions
Artificial intelligence for sustainability
The objective is to understand which technologies are ready for implementation and what support innovators require to scale.
Present Solutions and Future Needs
A key part of the roundtable will involve identifying the sustainability solutions currently available and comparing them with the future needs of businesses and institutions.
Chief Sustainability Officers and industry representatives will be encouraged to share operational challenges, implementation barriers and areas where stronger innovation is required.
These insights can help climate-tech enterprises align their products with actual industry requirements rather than developing solutions without adequate market understanding.
Creating Opportunities for Collaboration
The IICSR–NAB CSO Roundtable is designed as an action-oriented dialogue rather than a conventional conference.
The expected outcomes include:
Identifying gaps in existing climate solutions
Understanding industry requirements
Connecting climate-tech innovators with potential clients
Exploring opportunities for pilot projects
Supporting market access for climate-focused enterprises
Encouraging partnerships between businesses and institutions
Building a roadmap for the Green Business Corridor
Strengthening collaboration ahead of future IICSR sustainability initiatives
The roundtable will also create opportunities for participants to engage with leaders from different sectors and explore potential collaborations beyond the event.
Annual IICSRians Meet and Greet
The event will also host the Annual IICSRians Meet and Greet, bringing together IICSR alumni, students, faculty members, partners and well-wishers.
Over the years, the IICSR community has grown into a global network of sustainability professionals working across CSR, ESG, Net Zero, climate action, responsible business, impact investing, academia and social development.
The meet and greet will provide IICSRians with an opportunity to reconnect, exchange professional experiences and build new collaborations.
It will also allow participants to engage directly with sustainability leaders and climate-tech innovators attending the roundtable.
